As the situation around Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, we are actively making the necessary changes to our protocols to ensure we provide safety and flexibility for our guests. We wanted to reach out to you with information about what we are doing here at the Pelican Cottages to support you and your travel plans. As always, the safety, security, and health of our guests and team members is of the utmost importance and our highest priority.

What is the Pelican Cottages doing to prevent spread of virus?

  • We implemented recommended practices and trainings in accordance with city officials, CDC guidelines and other leading organization experts
  • Our staff has been trained to prevent the spread of coronavirus and is checked for any signs of virus when they arrived at work. All employees are required to wear protective face masks and gloves.
  • Our guests are required to wear face masks and asked to keep social distance when in common areas.
  • Permanent hand sanitizing stations are installed throughout the property.
  • Entire hotel (rooms and common areas) is frequently sanitized by approved COVID-19 disinfectant.

What I need to know before I arrive?

Only one person who’s name and credit card matches information on reservation is allowed in the lobby. Guest is always required to wear face mask during check in and while in the common areas of the hotel.

What employees are doing to prevent spread of virus?

Our staff has been instructed on increased sanitization measures we have taken to sanitize public areas, surfaces and frequent touch points.

They are required to wear face mask and disposable gloves during their shift.

Do you have hand sanitizing stations throughout hotel?

Yes. We have permanent hand sanitizing stations throughout the property for guest and staff use.

How is property being sanitized?

We created sanitizing crew to sanitize entire hotel frequently by approved COVID-19 disinfectant with emphases on frequently touched areas.

How are sheets handled?

All dirty linen are transported securely in separate bags to our laundry where they remain isolated until wash.

How is room cleaned/sanitized?

Apart from standard cleaning procedures used by our staff before, housekeeper will sanitize entire room with

approved COVID-19 disinfectant. Upon room inspection supervisor is disinfecting again all frequently touched areas and surfaces.

What is changed in rooms since COVID-19?

Apart from new cleaning and disinfecting procedures we have removed accent pillows, notepads, pens,

Guest Directory and Bible.

How are common areas cleaned?

Apart from standard cleaning procedures common areas are frequently disinfected by approved COVID-19

chemicals.

Do you offer daily room service?

Service will not be available during stay, however, we will deliver fresh towels and clean bedding to your room when requested.

Do I need face mask to check in?

Yes. Masks are required to be worn by all guests in common areas

Do you offer breakfast?

Unfortunately, our continental breakfast has been discontinued to safeguard our guests. We will continue to adjust food and beverage service in accordance with current food safety recommendations. There are plenty of great breakfast places in the area, have our staff provide you with a recommendation!

How can I check in?

Only one person who’s name and credit card matches information on reservation is allowed in the lobby. Please wear face mask entering lobby and remember to practice social distance of 6 feet between other guests and employees.

How am I protected at check in?

Our reception desk has clear plexiglass dividers to separate you from employee. Our staff will wear protective face mask and gloves. All surface, frequently touched points pens, key cards, Credit Card terminals are sanitized between each check in.

Can I swim and sunbathe on the beach and docks?

Yes. Guest may use the beach, docking and boat ramp facilities. Guest’s must exercise proper distancing and are not required to wear masks outside.

Are Kayaks still available?

Yes. Complimentary Kayak use is still available.
